Welcome Home
Cpl. Justin Kinnee

Many of you have heard of Justin Kinnee. But for those who
haven't let me tell you a little about him. Justin Kinnee is a Harrison High
School graduate that left for Iraq on September 18th, 2005. Only 20 days after
his arrival, his unit fell under small arms fire after an improvised explosive
device blew up. He sustained shrapnel wounds to his legs, chest, and neck. His
injuries also prompted him to have a stroke. The head trauma caused doctors to
remove a portion of Justin's skull in order to relieve pressure from his brain.
His condition was classified as "seriously injured with little chance of
survival" While Justin surpassed everyone's expectations he may never have a
completely normal life again. The stroke caused the loss of function in his left
arm and impaired his vision.
Justin has an angel here on earth. His best friends mom Karen Allen has taken it
upon herself to help Justin and his mom purchase a home in Hiram. The house was
in need of numerous repairs and changes to make it ready for Justin's home
coming. There have been several volunteers helping Karen get the house ready by
early December when Justin will return home. If you would like to help they are
accepting monetary donations at Trinity Chapel Church. You can send your checks
to Karen Allen at 4080 Paul Samuel Road Kennesaw, Ga 30152. Make checks payable
to Trinity Chapel and write Justin Kinnee Fund on the memo line.
They are also in need of someone who knows how to professionally lay tiles. The
tiles have been purchased for two small bathrooms but they are hoping to find
someone to donate the labor to put them down.
Thanks!
